Guidance is always needed for a child to learn to be independent which is why we quote ourselves as ‘Helping students help themselves.’ With our tutors and their knowledge, we specialize in giving children the confidence they need to meet the learning challenge. We prep the children to use their best efforts and teach them to gain a complete understanding of the subject matter so that learning doesn’t have to be a battle - for you or your child!

Shopping Cart Help
To purchase items using our Shopping Cart, simply follow the steps listed below. If you are having difficulty adding items to your cart or your cart appears empty after you have added items to it, please consult the troubleshooting tips further down on this page.
- Find an item that interests you.
- Click the Add to Cart button on any item’s product detail page.
- If you wish to add more than one item to your order, click the Continue Shopping button. Once you are there click on the Products tab or Carney Logo to continue.
- When you’ve finished adding items to your Shopping Cart, click the Shopping Cart Link found at the top of every page on our site
- Click the Proceed to Checkout button to fill out the order form which will register you. If you are a returning customer, enter your login information, that will bypass the form and take you right to checkout.
If you want to modify your order before you complete the checkout process, here’s how:
- Want to buy multiple quantities of an item in your Shopping Cart? Change the number in the Qty. box and click the Update button at the bottom of the cart.
- Want to remove an item from your Shopping Cart? Click the Check Box under the Remove Item that appears to the top left of any item in your cart.
- Prefer to wait until another day to buy some of the items in your Shopping Cart? Simply close your browser and log in at another time. For returning and *first time customers, your shopping cart will hold your items. *First time customers will need to have your browsers cookies enabled to save your cart, otherwise we recommend that you register on our web site by clicking on the register link at the top of every web page.

A: There isn’t any age minimum age requirement, we offer tutors for all ages and grade levels.
Q: Where does the tutoring take place?
A: The tutoring takes place at a location agreed upon by the all parties, most commonly the student’s home or school library.
Q: When does the tutoring take place?
A: The tutoring usually takes place between 2:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m., between two and three times per week.
Q: How long is a typical session?
A: Each session typically lasts 60 - 90 minutes.
Q: Is there any type of guarantee that my student’s grades will improve?
A: Carney Ed In-Home Tutoring offers a money back trial period. Ask your representative for details.
Q: What subjects do you offer tutoring in?
A: Carney Ed In-Home Tutoring employs tutors from local area colleges from all areas of study, this allows us to place students with tutors who are actively studying the relevant subject material.
Q: How do you screen your tutors?
A: Our tutors are interviewed by a panel of credentialed teachers, tested for proficiency, subject to a background check and drug testing, to ensure that our tutors of the highest quality.
Q: What areas do your tutors serve?
A: We tutor students throughout California.
Q: What type of supplemental materials do you provide?
A: We offer books and games for grades Kindergarten through High School.
