All of our private tutors possess at least a Bachelor’s degree, and most of them are currently pursuing higher education or a career in the education field. Many of our tutors have attended major universities and are brilliant young people. To work with Carney, the tutor must have at least two years of tutoring or teaching experience, be fingerprinted and TB tested, pass an extensive background check and provide strong references. In addition to the basics, a Carney tutor must have the ability to really relate to the students and make the subject come alive for the learner. We will come to your door. We work at the student’s pace. We work around the client’s schedule and will see to it that we help the student in any way that we can. We are passionate and committed to making a difference. We have experienced a great deal of success in our endeavors.
Our Private Tutoring services can be purchased in one of two ways. We offer a Private Tutoring package of 10 hours for $425.00 (42.50 per hour if bought in a block of ten). Most clients purchase the tutoring in the block form because it is at 10 hours that we offer a discount. The ten hours do not expire. They can be used however the client desires. They can also be split between two children. Our tutoring can also be purchased in single hours at $47.50 per hour. All payments are to be secured before the tutor meets with the student.
If clients are not satisfied with their tutors, then we will absolutely find them a new tutor. However, the time that was spent with the first tutor will still be deducted because the services have already been used. For example, if a tutor comes for 1 hour and the client decides that they are not happy with the tutor, then the 1 hour would be subtracted from whatever amount the client purchased. If the client purchased a 10 hour block, then they would have 9 hours left. If the client is not satisfied with any of the tutors, then the last resort will be to refund the money for the services that have not yet been used.
