Carney Educational Services (CES) prides itself on our role in helping students help themselves. We consider it an honor and a joy to work with students throughout California. We at CES count children as our most precious natural resource and Carney Educational Services stands united with parents and teachers as partners in process of nurturing this resource. Together we can better the daily lives, and brighten the futures, of thousands of children.
Carney Educational Services, a for-profit company, is owned by Michael Carney an experienced teacher of 16 years. We currently provide after-school programs for many districts throughout California. We are funded through After School Education and Safety (ASES) Grants, 21st Century Grants and parent-pay programs.
We are involved in Supplemental Educational Services (SES) throughout the state and will be expanding our SES tutoring into more states in the 2008-09 school year. SES is funded through the No Child Left Behind Act and allows for students who are included in the free and reduced lunch program at a Program Improvement year 2 or more school to participate in free tutoring.
Additionally, we have a client base of private tutoring services for families. Our books and games, that are sold nation-wide, are used by teachers, after-school programs and parents.
