Michael Carney was an experienced teacher and educator for sixteen years and whose vision and insight has resulted in the establishing and owning of The Carney Educational Services.This is a for-profit company providing after-school programs for districts throughout California. It is funded by After-School Education and Safety (ASES) grants, 21st Century Grants and parent-pay programs, and the purpose is SAT test preparation.
Carney Educational Services is committedly involved in Supplemental Educational Services (SES) statewide. SES is funded by the "No Child Left Behind" act. This allows students who are included in the free and reduced lunch program to avail themselves of free tutoring at a Program Improvement year 2 or more school. The programs on offer meet all the educational as well as social needs of children for their better comprehension of SAT test preparation. Carney Educational Services is understandably proud of their ability to provide academic excellence in a safe environment for children taking the opportunity to further their knowledge and understanding. Recent statistics indicate that children involved in SES and after-school programs appear to be doing better on state test.
Children are a country's richest natural resource. Carney Educational Services, in cooperation with teaching staff and parents can improve the daily life and considerably enhance the futures of thousands of children. It is a constant joy and privilege to play a part in helping children to help themselves as they confront the SAT test preparation. Children in nearly all states are required to sit for standardized tests for their grade level, and the results of these tests become a part of their permanent school records. In the SAT test preparation programs of Carney Educational Services, staff will encourage and provide the motivation for students to move towards grade level proficiency. State standard work books and "Brain in a Box" educational games series assist children to prepare for tests.What children enjoy and can smile at they will remember.These games are the implements to engage learners with hands on exciting activities and they cover the complete range in language arts and mathematics.They can be played repeatedly allowing successful conclusions and the happy building of self-confidence.
The object of Carney Educational Services is to provide a positive and secure environment during after school hours. The accent is on the provision to all participants of a supervised comprehensive program which will consist of academic support, cultural environment, nutrition and youth development. With a teaching complement of 1000 and hundreds of bi-lingual staff members the program can accommodate any curriculum or subject. Classes can be adjusted to suit all age groups and schools. SAT test preparation is accomplished at the student's own pace and they will soon realize what material to expect to find on tests, how they are formulated and how to succeed on these vital tests without stress or anticipating trouble.
